Lake of the Ozarks - 2011

Zack and Daddy on the Big Mable

Alex and Daddy's first ride on tube

We spent a week in the Ozarks this year with Matt's family. We had a great time boating, swimming, noodling, riding the wave runner, fishing, roasting s'mores, tubing, and Zack even attempted water skiing. What wonderful lake memories the boys will have forever!

Happy 4th of July!

Grandma Jude had lots of props for a very fun 4th of July celebration. The boys loved the costumes! We had a great celebration and finished the night with a Grandpa Scott fireworks extravaganza and s'mores.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alex! - Part 2

We spent Alex's 2nd Birthday this year at Grandma and Grandpa's lake house in the Ozarks. We had a wonderful celebration! Alex loved all the attention and really loved his cake and ice cream.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alex! We celebrated his birthday a couple of times. The first celebration was a few days early with the Koch cousins and Grandma Nene. Zack and his cousins put on a performance to celebrate the big birthday. Alex loves when people sing happy birthday to him. He is such a sweet little momma's boy. He loves to sing songs and dance (very different from his brother). Alex can count to 20, he know all his letter sounds and has been spelling his name for the last 6 months. He loves to read books and play with all his toys. He prefers all his four wheel toys. I enjoy my boys so much and savor the cuddle moments I get right before bedtime (seems to be the only time I can get them to stop moving).

Summer Fun!

With temperatures in the upper 90s today we stayed cool at the pool and with the slip-n-slide at home. Zack had a couple of his buddies over and they were having a blast with water guns and zipping down the slide onto the slip-n-slide. It was very hard for all the boys to resist shooting each other in the face with the water guns. Boys, boys, boys - love em!

Concert at Millennium Park

I took the boys to Millennium Park downtown to meet their dad after work for a picnic and free concert (Iron & Wine). We had a great time! It was a late night, but the boys were really good sports.

Alex didn't want to be left out

I have to say that when you're child learns to ride a bike all by themselves, it is a very proud moment for both child and parent. We are thrilled to announce that Zack officially rides his bike unassisted (2 months before turning 5).
